The festive Opening Ceremony is a breathtaking artistic and pyrotechnic spectacle, alongside an emotional parade of delegations featuring thousands of athletes from all over the world.

Maccabiah 2026 is much more than a sporting event. Since October 7 and against the backdrop of rising antisemitism, this year's Maccabiah stands as a symbol of the resilience of the Jewish people and the strengthening of the bond between Israel and Diaspora Jewry. More than ever, we are here to show the world the invincible human spirit of the Jewish people and Zionist solidarity.

A Nationwide Celebration of Sports

The Maccabiah will take place from July 1 to July 13, featuring 44 sports categories and dozens of events open to the general public across the entire country, from Tel Aviv Yafo and Haifa to Sderot and the Gaza envelope communities. Come experience the Maccabiah spirit up close!

Side screens with simultaneous translation will be placed at the event.

A reserved place will be available only for the person with a disability and for one companion, if required. Seat reservations will be coordinated with the person with a disability and subject to availability.

In accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), Regulation 14(c):

“Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-regulation (a), if the service involves providing an individual service to a companion, such as allocating a seat, room, place, or a specific personal service, the responsible party shall be exempt from the obligation to grant an exemption from payment under this regulation.”
